Bankview sits high above the banks of Okanagan Lake with the city of Kelowna as a backdrop. We're located in the semi rural district of LakeView Heights in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Here on Collens Hill Road the lots are expansive making the neighbors seem miles away.
We're more than a little pleased that Painting Daisies winners of CBC TV the Great Canadian Music Dream talent search were guests at Bankview. The Daisies will soon be filming their own CBC network special which will be broadcast later this year. Bankview wishes Painting Daisies all the very best in their future endeavors.
Facilities
African Queen Room - Out of Africa thoughts of Bogart and Hepburn in the 1951 film of drama and romance of The African Queen. One of the great classics of the silver screen also found in our video library. Rest assured that our African Queen Room is a far cry from that of a bed on a river launch, ours is a queen with private bath and shower.
The King Garden Room - Dressed in cool garden colors with a bed fit for a King, with private bath.
At Bankview Bed and Breakfast we aim to give you the best start to a new day with fruit juices, fresh Okanagan fruit in season, freshly baked muffins, scones, cinammon buns and cereal if requested. Our breakfasts feature egg dishes along with our signature Okanagan Apple Pancake that has juicy Okanagan apples tucked inside swirled atop with warm Canadian maple syrup. Included is freshly ground coffee which is also available pre breakfast on your private patio or sit in the cool shade on the lawn and watch the morning sun make it's lazy rise over the lake with cup of coffee in hand. Not a bad way to begin a holiday day in the Valley.

Nearby are the estate wineries of Quail's Gate Estate Winery, Boucherie Estate Winery and atop the hill is Mission Hill Estate Winery. A picturesque drive will take you to spectacular views and roads leading to wineries and orchards. Stop for lunch at Quail's Gate al fresco restaurant on the way.
The valley is also home to championship golf courses many of which are close by.
A wide variety of restaurants, shops and services in the valley are minutes away from Lake View Heights as are the many beaches and sports activities of Okanagan Lake.
Activities
In summer the lake is yours to play on. Swim, water ski, fish, sea-doo, sail, wind surf or gently cruise in a house boat. Build castles on fine sand beaches then picnic beside your castle. Change course and golf the scenic links of the Okanagan Valley. Crunch an apple, bite into juicy peaches. Sip award winning Okanagan Valley wines. Bike in the breathtaking beauty of the Kettle Valley just an hour away.
Just below us is a natural nature park, Kalamoir Regional Park, where there are many view points and walking paths leading down to the beach area and boat launch. In spring the park is alive with bright yellow daisies. Wildflowers bloom with the seasons and the music of songbirds can be heard everywhere making the park a birdwatchers paradise.
